Women’s Running magazine had its inaugural run September 25th, 2010 in Nashville, Tn
The Expo was held for two days at the host hotel the Renaissance Nashville Hotel which is open to the public and featured women’s running apparel, merchandise and packet and t-shirt pickup for runners.
The Start is in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame where you are placed in a corral according to your running pace. Award Country music singer Jodee Messina sang the National Anthem!
The Course Run through Centennial park, where the parthenon is located, around Vanderbilt University, across bridges and end running by (I believe) the Tennessee Titans Stadium. The course is beautiful, but be ready for hills!
The Finish is where you start! In front of the Country Music Hall of Fame. You receive your finishers medal that holds a charm in the middle of a music note and be ready for your picture. They did not lack anything for you to do after the race. Plenty of grass, chairs and space to sit. Massages and food were no problem to find. For an inaugural run, they got it right!
